THE PIE LADY

MY STORY

Hello Friends and Neighbors,

     My name is Rebecca Ray and I was born and raised in a little community in the panhandle of North Florida for twenty-five years. As a past time my grandmother and I would make pies, cookies, jellies, cakes, and anything we thought my grandfather would love or appreciate with his coffee or a tall glass of milk.

     When the church would have a fund raiser by selling pies we would make all the pie crust for the woman to make their pies for sell. I loved these days of bonding with my family and the lovely smells we made in doing so.

     After a few years of marriage I was faced with a decision to make concerning my family’s financial stability. My husband was struck suddenly with a disabling illness and was not able to provide for the household for a time. In my desperation to help him and our family I began to ask God what could I do to help us through this hard time and stay home to care for my husband and three babies.

     My answer came in the form of a question. What do you do best? Then I remembered all those days cooking confections and decided I would give it a try! After getting orders and delivering to the local businessmen and women for their own personal use for a time I became known as The Pie Lady!!!

     Now I have been bringing joy and delicious aromas to families of those working men and women in the communities I've lived in for over fifteen years!

    

     The Buttermilk Coconut Pie shown here was my trademark pie and best seller for many years and one of my family’s favorites.
